Third space
We built Thrace for every woman who is tired of waiting.
Thrace takes its name from third space: the places between home and work where people belong. Cafés, parks, long tables. Women in our cities have had too few of them.
This isn’t personal. It’s structural.
More Indian women are working, studying and living away from home than ever before. They moved for opportunity, and in doing so left behind the networks that made weekends full: school friends, cousins, the neighbourhood.
What they found instead was a city full of people and no easy way in. Apps that show what everyone else is doing. Group chats where plans go to die. Dating apps bent into friend-finders because nothing else existed.
Thrace is the infrastructure that was missing: a safe, simple way to go from a feeling to a real moment, with real women, in your own city.
What we believe
Showing up is the hard part
Social media solved being seen. Nobody solved getting into the room. Thrace exists for the moment between “I should do something” and actually going.
Small is safer, and kinder
Plans are kept small, women-only and verified, so walking in alone never feels like walking into a crowd.
Energy over interests
What you feel like today matters more than a list of hobbies you filled in once. Thrace asks how you are, every time.
Belonging is built by women
The best plans come from women who love bringing people together. Thrace helps them host, and helps them earn from it.
Who’s behind it
Thrace is founded by Kalindi: an engineer by training, a storyteller by craft (film and animation), a product builder by experience, and a community builder for the last ten years. Thrace is made by Sangarun Nexus Pvt Ltd, in India.
“I didn’t build this because I saw a market gap. I built it because I spent too many Sundays waiting. So did every woman I know. This platform is for her.”
